ALBUM REVIEW : Delyth Jenkins - 'Aros'

First of all, I should congratulate rambles.net for taking four months to finally publish my review! That really is frustrating!

Then I should congratulate Delyth Jenkins, for making a truly beautiful album that finds her truly at one with her harp, expressing the most heartfelt emotions through her music.

My review of 'Aros' has been published on Rambles.

ALBUM REVIEW : Gwildor - 'Tales From A Town'

Fresh from the cultural hot-spot of North East Wales, this is the perfect music for this sultry summer weather we're having... well... it's actually raining here in North Wales! This is good folk-pop music that manages to raise its head that bit higher than many offerings in the genre... give them a listen!

ALBUM REVIEW : Johnny Duhan - 'Just Another Town'

I actually found this review quite difficult to write because the songs affected me in such a deeply personal manner. Johnny writes straight from the heart and casts an eye over the most ordinary matters of every day life, illustrating them in the most extraordinary way, through this engaging lyrics. For me, the title track alone is an absolute masterpiece -- Johnny sings of 'Just Another Town' with the same illumination that Lowry achieved with his paintings, providing just enough detail for you to construct the whole glorious picture in your mind.

ALBUM REVIEW : Aonghas Grant - 'The Hills of Glengarry'

I was lucky enough to catch Aonghas Grant up at Celtic Connections earlier this year in a fantastic early-evening gig. It was all so laid back, so natural; wonderful music and even more wonderful story-telling.
